The NYSPCC Food & Wine Gala

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children will hold its annual Food & Wine Gala at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan. This year we’re excited to welcome Chef Elizabeth Falkner as our Celebrity Chef. We’re honored to present Vicky Cornell, co-founder of the Chris & Vicky Cornell Foundation, with the “Strength of Our Society Award”.

Proceeds from the Food & Wine Gala will support The NYSPCC’s Trauma Recovery and Safe Touches program.

Celebrity Chef
Elizabeth Falkner

Chef Elizabeth Falkner is a world recognized, award winning chef and continues to be a leader and pioneer in the culinary arts. She has been a James Beard Foundation Award nominee (2005). Her first cookbook, Demolition Desserts (2007) was a finalist for IACP’s Julia Child Best First Cookbook award in 2008. Chef Falkner has competed in multiple culinary competitions including Food Network’s “Next Iron Chef, Redemption,” “Iron Chef America” and “Next Iron Chef, Super Chefs,” in which she was a finalist and runner up. She has been a three time competitor on “Food Network Challenge,” as well as a contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.”

Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation

The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation was formed in 2012 to raise funds and to support charitable organizations serving children who are facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, and neglect worldwide. Today the foundation honors the memory of Chris by supporting and forwarding the causes he loved most: helping vulnerable children.
