Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (April 26, 2023)

One in ten children are sexually abused before age 18 and, most often, the perpetrator is someone the child and family knows and trusts. Untreated, victims can suffer mental and physical health repercussions throughout their lives. When a child is abused, their family and community suffer. No one is immune. This 2-hour training is designed to empower and encourage professionals to become agents for change. By giving them the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to prevent, identify, and report abuse, more children will be protected and staff will know how to respond appropriately when concerns about a child arise. Participants learn facts, statistics, and signs of abuse, as well as prevention concepts to teach to youth and implement in their organization or school.
