Understanding Burnout and How to Manage It! (March 31, 2023)

Burnout does not mean the end of your job.  It happens to the best workers.  What is important is learning how to recognize it and steps to take to deal with it.  This session will also cover the differences between burnout and secondary traumatic stress.  Participants will complete the Maslach Burnout Self-Test and interpret their levels of burnout, depersonalization and personal achievement. Key areas of workplace importance such as workload, control, reward, community, fairness and values of their organization will be covered. Interventions that can help manage burnout at both the individual and agency level will be discussed.
