Summary
Child sexual abuse is a major public health issue. One in ten children will be sexually abused by the time they turn 18 and the highest risk age for sexual abuse is between the ages of 7 and 13. It is imperative that adults understand the risk factors for sexual abuse and how best to keep children safe. This training is designed to empower professionals with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to prevent, identify, and report sexual abuse. Participants will leave with age-appropriate strategies for talking to children about sexual abuse and responding appropriately when concerns about a child arise.
