Clinical Services

The NYSPCC's team of highly skilled licensed therapists provides trauma-focused services to children and families through our Therapeutic Supervised Visitation Program and our Trauma Recovery Program; supports child welfare professionals through our Crisis Debriefing and Bereavement Program; and trains emerging social workers and mental health counselors through our Student Intern Program.

Therapeutic Supervised Visitation

Serving mandated families who have experienced trauma and separation, the Program promotes safe, healthy and consistent parent-child relationships through weekly visits, parent and child coaching sessions, and parent groups.

Trauma Recovery Program

Serving child welfare involved youth who have experienced trauma, the Program promotes resilience and healing through weekly therapy sessions.

Crisis Debriefing & Bereavement Program

Serving child welfare professionals exposed to primary and secondary traumatic stress, the Program aims to restore worker resilience through time-limited individual and group sessions.

Student Intern Program

Collaborating with master-level social work and mental health counseling programs, the Program trains emerging therapists in best practice trauma-focused interventions with children and families.
